Gulf St Vincent is the smaller of South Australia's two major gulfs. The eastern side of the Gulf is dominated by Adelaide, the State's capital city, and features dozen of kilometres of beautiful beaches, interspersed by jetties every few km. North Haven Marina is the hub of sailing in Adelaide and the home of my club, the Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia (CYCSA).

The Upper Gulf St Vincent Marine Park offers plenty of opportunities to explore the coastal habitats that support the variety of marine species that visit the area. The park features wetlands of national importance, including the Light River Delta, which is considered one of the most ecologically-intact mangrove and saltmarsh systems in South.
